Apply through the Internet
You can apply for child care through our Internet service (the form is in Swedish). You find a link to the form in the menu to the left.  

Pre-school
The pre-school receives children aged 6 months to 5 years old while their parents work or study. Children whose parents are out of work or on parental leave can attend pre-school 15 hours a week.

As an alternative to the pre-school, you can choose a home daycare nursery.

Children 4 and 5 years old who don't otherwise attend pre-school are welcome to activites 15 hours a week as a preparation for school. This is optional and free of charge.

One pre-school is open to receive children also during nights and weekends. This pre-school is situated in the East district, but receives children from the whole municipality.

Open pre-school
The open pre-school is a meeting-place for children and parents. Five of the municipal districts in Borås have got an open pre-school, which is meant for parents and home daycare nurses in the area.

Care for school children
Day recreation centres receive children 6-12 years old before and after school, while their parents work or study. The centre is situated nearby the school.  

Child care under personal management
Parents have the option to run child care under personal management and get municipal contribution. This is possible through co-operative family networks - se the link in the menu to the left.
