Child care under personal management

Parents have the option to run child care under personal management and get municipal contribution for it. This is possible through co-operative family networks.

A co-operative family network organizes its' own activities, employs personnel, and decides what fee the parents are to pay for the care. The children can attend from 6 months of age and until June the year when they turn 6 years old. Children to the person/s employed for the care have right to municipal contribution, as well as other children. There must be children from at least two families in the care. Children in the care must be entitled to child care according to the municipality's rules. The municipal contribution to the care varies with the children's age and the time they spend in the care.

The municipal district office has a right to insight into the activities. No contribution will be paid before the municipal district committee has decided that the family network is entitled to contributions. If the network does not comply with the municipality's rules, the committee can withdraw the contribution.

You can get more information from the municipal district office.
