Personal and family counselling

This includes social security benefits, advise and support to families with children and to youths, care and treatment for addicts, and more. There are many occasions when the Personal and family counselling kan give advise and help.

Three districts
The Personal and family counselling is divided into three geografical districts, each with their own office. You can reach officers at the Personal and family counselling weekdays 08.00-12.00 and 13.00-16.30 (fridays until 15.00).

If you live in Centrum, Fristad or Sjöbo municipal district, you belong to District North with their office at Olovsholmsgatan 32. Tel 033-35 51 82.

If you live in Göta, Norrby, Sandhult or Viskafors municipal district you belong to District West with their office at Ramnåsgatan 1. Tel 033-35 51 86.

If you live in Brämhult, Dalsjöfors or Trandared municipal district you belong to District East with their office at Våglängdsgatan 21 B. Tel 033-35 51 78.

All districts can be reached through the municipality's main exchange, tel: 033-35 70 00.

Allowances
Social security allowances are handled by a special unit situated at Viskastrandsgatan 3. You must call in advance and book a time, tel 033-35 70 00 (switchboard). However, for emergency cases you can call at Viskastrandsgatan weekdays between 13.00 and 14.30.

Addictions problems
Persons with addiction problems can find help through the Yxhammar clinic, situated at Yxhammarsgatan 8-10. Tel 033-35 82 18, weekdays 08.00-14.30.
