The way we work

The children start nursery and then continue to pre-school.  The school consists of groups with pre-school children and schoolchildren up to the age of 12.

We offer childcare before and after school for children up to the age of 12.

In the building there is a public library with all the modern communication techniques.

Confidence - Respect - Responsibility, should characterize our work.

All our work should be characterized by a comprehensive view, flexibility, quality and efficiency. We should carry out changes by being opened towards the society and by comparing ourselves to the ones that are leading within the pedagogic field. We should systematically work with: goals - accomplishments - reflection - evaluations/follow-ups.

The leadership should be characterized by visions, which create conditions, formulate strategies, support quality, and make sure that everyone has a common idea of what needs to be done. Staff, children/pupils, and parents have a common responsibility for the schools´ development.

Vision
In the year of 2010 Hestra Midgård can be rated as a preschool/school of high quality and international class. Together we spend effort on quality, both in education and in the contact with people. We feel the joy of work, and the freedom of change and development. We believe in ourselves and we are committed and active citizens of the world, who understand other human beings´ experiences and feelings.
