General elections and the European Parliamentary elections

General elections in Sweden are held every 4 years and are the embodiment of Swedish democracy. The general elections are held at the national, county and local level at the same time, with a Swedish parliamentary election, a county assembly election and a municipal assembly election. The European Parliamentary elections are held every five years.
