General elections and the European Parliamentary elections

General elections in Sweden are held every 4 years and are the embodiment of Swedish democracy. The general elections are held at the national, county and local level at the same time, with a Swedish parliamentary election, a county assembly election and a municipal assembly election. The European Parliamentary elections are held every five years.

The European Parliamentary election of 2024

The European Parliamentary election will take place on Sunday the 9th of June in 2024. The advance voting period begins on the 22nd of May and ends on the 9th of June.
