Floral program

Would you like to learn more about the ideas behind the summer flower plantings? Perhaps you’ve seen a beautiful plant that you’d like to have in your own garden? In the floral program, you can read about which plants are included in the different arrangements and where in the city you can find them. The flower program is simply your guide to Borås’ summer flowers.

Floral program 2026 - Plant dyeing

The 2026 floral program is a collaboration between aesthetics and industrial history.

Artist Kalle Hamm, together with the Parks Department, has created four compositions based on four locations in Borås with connections to dyeing and textile processing.

The plants were organised according to four themes based on the shades obtained from the plants in the dyeing process: red, yellow, green, and blue. The shade obtained is not always the same as the colour of the plant’s flowers, as it is affected by the mordant and other factors.

Guided flower walks

Join us for a guided tour where we showcase our plantings, talk about this year’s theme, and explain the ideas behind all the arrangements. We will be offering flower walks on selected dates this summer.

We will publish the dates for the flower walks shortly.
