Common sense and the Right of Public Access

The Right of Public Access in Borås allows hiking, jogging, cycling, and horseback riding in nature, but not on private property, cultivated land, or in forest plantations. Dogs must be leashed from March 1 to August 20 and in public places year-round. Campfires and barbecues are allowed with caution in designated areas, and fishing requires a fishing permit. Camping is permitted for one night in nature but not in public places. Construction in nature and boating activities that disturb wildlife or other people require permission. Personal watercraft are prohibited in lakes and rivers, and certain lakes are discouraged for swimming due to water quality. You can read about this and much more on our page about:
